A channel is a user generated content collection. the collection can consist of photo, audio and/or video files. Channel managers and site administrators may give users permission to perform specific actions in a channel. You can access your channels from the My Channels selection in the User menu.

The shared repository on Canvas allows you to share video material from your Media Gallery with colleagues in several courses. There is one shared repository for Canvas.
The shared repository on the mediaspace (video.uva.nl) allows users to create a Channel where you can share videomaterial with others. You can also give certain users the possibility to add material to the shared repository and share the material from a shared repository.
