The shared repository on Canvas allows you to share video material from your Media Gallery with colleagues in several courses. There is one shared repository for Canvas. (You can publish the video content. The owner can edit the video.)

NB: The shared repository on Canvas is separate from the shared repository options on the Mediaspace (video.uva.nl). In other words you cannot open a shared repository that you have created on video.uva.nl in Canvas.

Add video to the Shared Repository in Canvas

• Go to: My Media
• Select the video you want to add to the Canvas shared Repository
• Actions / Edit
• Publish
• Publish in Channel: choose shared Repository
• Save

Add Video from the Canvas Shared repository to a Course

• Find the Course you want to add the video to
• Go to the Media Gallery 
• + Add to channel
• Choose Shared repository
• Check the video you want to add to the course
• Publish
