Do you need a UvA logo, PowerPoint template, or letterhead? Or do you want to know how to use design or images correctly? Our style guide provides all the information you need about the UvA's corporate identity.

The UvA style ensures consistency and recognisability in our communications. You can find all UvA style guidelines at uva.nl/huisstijl. Below, we highlight some key topics for you.

UvA logos

At the UvA, we use one logo. There are different versions available:

  • The basic logo: With or without the name of your faculty or unit beneath it.
  • The compact logo: For when the basic logo is too large. This version does not include the name of your unit.
  • The logo tag: For cases where even the compact logo is too large. Note: the tag is not suitable for printed materials.
  • The sponsor logo: A special version used in exceptional cases.

You can download all UvA logos, including those featuring your faculty or unit name, from the UvA logo page at uva.nl/huisstijl.

Creating a PowerPoint presentation in UvA style (Templafy)

To create a UvA PowerPoint presentation, use Templafy. First, ensure you have installed this template tool. Then, open the PowerPoint app on your laptop and select 'Presentation 2022'.

With Templafy, you can:

  • Choose from different slide designs.
  • Add UvA icons.
  • Insert photos from the UvA image library ('Bynder').
  • Upload photos from your own computer.

Learn more about Templafy, including how to create letters, memos, reports, agendas, or decisions.

Finding and using visual materials

The UvA Beeldbank (image library) contains many images you can download and use freely (unless restrictions are noted under 'Use'). These are ideal for marketing and communication materials.

To access the Beeldbank, log in with your UvAnetID. You can search by keyword or use filters like theme, faculty, or location.

Applying the style guide per faculty

In addition to the general style guidelines on uva.nl/huisstijl, each faculty has its own specific points of focus.
