Reserving De Brug

The Bridge is located at the Roeterseiland campus. It is a meeting place for students, researchers, staff, and guests of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, Economics and Business, and Law at the UvA. It is an excellent place for debate, reflection, and connection.

Unique space with panoramic views

The Bridge is a unique, impressive space overlooking the Nieuwe Achtergracht, with beautiful natural light. On both sides, you have a panoramic view of the city of Amsterdam. The Bridge is situated on the edge of the city centre, at the junction of the Plantage, Weesper, and Oosterpark districts – an area that is developing into Amsterdam’s Quartier Latin with the arrival of many students.

The height, size, and stunning view of the canal make The Bridge particularly suitable for events and gatherings such as lectures, symposia, graduation ceremonies, lunches/dinners, receptions, and other UvA-related events. The space is versatile and can be configured as desired, and is equipped with advanced lighting, sound, and AV technology.

Availability

The Bridge is available Monday to Friday. On request and with approval, it can also be booked on weekends.

Costs

Costs depend on various factors, such as the additional services and furniture required. We can provide an indication of costs once your specific requirements are clarified.
