As a guest, you can use wireless internet at the UvA via an eduroam Visitor Account.
Wireless internet for guests

As a guest, it is possible to receive a temporary account to connect to eduroam. Your contact at the UvA can arrange this. When this is done, you will receive a message about the temporary account containing your login details and information about setting up eduroam.

Do you work or study at another university or college?

Then you can use the eduroam wireless network with your own institution's login details. However, your institution must participate in eduroam. If you have already connected to eduroam at your institution, your device will automatically reconnect to this network. Does this not happen? Then manually select the eduroam network and then log in with your own institution's login details.
