Some UvA systems do not use the central database, where log-in details are stored and changed, for their authentication. Instead, these systems refer to a local database. If a password is changed in the central database on id.medewerker.uva.nl, that change will not be applied within those local databases.
Staff members often log into those systems using the username from their UvA-net ID. But the password will not have been changed there! On these systems, you will therefore continue to log in using your old username and password.
