Donations to the UvA offer certain tax advantages. Below you can read how the UvA meets the PBO requirements.

The University of Amsterdam is a recognised Public Benefit Organisation (PBO). This means that donations (gifts, bequests, testimonial dispositions) offer tax advantages to both the donor and the recipient.

Policy plan

The Strategic Plan 2021-2026, titled ‘Inspiring generations’, outlines the UvA's plans for education, research, the organisation itself and operational management. The Plan also addresses the ambitions, objectives, strategy and quality assurance of the university.

The Executive Board is responsible for the general management of the University of Amsterdam (UvA). 

Remuneration policy

The management remuneration policy is outlined in the annual report (see below). Employees of the University of Amsterdam are covered by the Collective Labour Agreement of Dutch Universities (CAO NU).
